Aldo was the principal architect of Parliament House. He was born in Rome where he graduated and spent the first thirty years of his life, then he worked and lived in the US for a similar period before moving to Canberra to oversee the building of Parliament House. He happily settled in Canberra. In 2013 on the 25th anniversary of the opening of Parliament House, Yvette interviewed him for an article to be published in La Fiamma. They maintained regular contact up to his death in 2016.
