Anche quest’anno la Dante Alighieri Society di Canberra ha attivamente partecipato al National Multicultural Festival che si è svolto a Canberra dal 16 al 18 febbraio.

Nell’ambito di quella che è stata chiamata “PIAZZA ITALIA”, molti nostri volontari hanno promosso le attività della Società e il suo notevole sostegno alle iniziative della Comunità italiana dedicate alla promozione della lingua e della cultura. Numerosi cittadini si sono fermati ed hanno chiesto e ottenuto esaurienti informazioni e materiale divulgativo.

Per tutti sono stati tre giorni faticosi, ma pieni di grandi soddisfazioni.

Ci ha dato modo di contattare molti nuovi amici, interessati alla cultura e alla lingua italiane e anche alla Dante Alighieri.

La nostra Società ringrazia vivamente tutti coloro che per ore si sono alternati ai vari servizi, offrendo la loro spontanea ed utile opera di volontariato.

I proventi della manifestazione saranno devoluti al miglioramento del Centro Culturale Italiano di Canberra.

The Dante Alighieri Society of Canberra has maintained its ongoing involvement in the latest edition of the National Multicultural Festival held in Canberra on 16-18 February.

The many members who volunteered their help assisted the promotion of the Society’s activities and its notable support of Italian Community initiatives that seek to promote Italian language and culture.

The labours of those helping over the three days of the Festival were rewarded by the immense satisfaction of meeting and engaging with prospective new members of the Society and the many with a shared interest in Italian language and culture.

The Dante Alighieri Society is deeply grateful to all those who have generously given up their valuable leisure time to assist this worthwhile endeavour.

The proceeds from the initiative will be devoted primarily to assist the upkeep of the Italian Cultural Centre.
